Free
The Federation of Free Evangelical Churches to which we belong was founded in the year 1874 and has been a public corporation for many years now.
We are free in our decision to consciously live with Jesus Christ and the Bible - so as to respond to the gift God wants to offer us. Consequently, we freely and consciously form part of a Christian church, of which Jesus Christ forms the center. In responsibility before God, the members of the church voluntarily support the church by providing time and money.
Evangelical
In a literal sense, "evangelical" means that a man or woman believes in the gospel that is to be found in the Bible. Therefore, we share the heritage of the Reformation with other Protestant Churches. The Bible is the standard of our faith, and on this basis we are connected to Christians of other denominations.
Church
We want to be a church as described by the New Testament. So for one thing, the church is the community of people who have said yes to a life with Jesus Christ. For another, these people live in a community in which one person wants to be there for the other. Those who are looking for community can find it in our worship services and other events. There are various bible study and other small groups where we can talk about anything, from a perspective of the Bible.
God has given talents to all Christians, calling them to use them to serve Him. For this reason, we make sure that everybody has the opportunity to use their skills and abilities to contribute to the church life.
It is not our intention to win over Christians from other churches or denominations. Whoever has found a place in a Christian community should stay there and happily fulfill their tasks in a committed way. Our congregation is not the only one that leads to salvation. What matters more to us is that people who do not or no longer have a relationship with God can find Him and get to know Jesus Christ in person. In cooperation with other Chistians of this town and its greater area, we would like to contribute to achieving this objective.
